The marketplace makes it easy to buy and sell cars, parts and accessories within the community. Most members are honest enthusiasts, but scammers target car communities everywhere. These simple rules help you trade safely.

Warning signs of a scam

Be careful when you see any of these signs:

  • A price far below the market value for a rare part or a desirable car.
  • Pressure to decide quickly, often with a story about other buyers waiting.
  • A request to move the conversation to another app or to email immediately.
  • A request for payment methods without protection, such as gift cards, cryptocurrency or transfers to unknown accounts.
  • A seller who cannot show the item, refuses a video call or sends photos that look copied.
  • Requests for codes, verification numbers or passwords.

If something feels wrong, stop and ask in the forum or report the listing.

Safe buying

  • Use private messages on the site to discuss the item, so the history stays in one place.
  • Ask for extra photos, for example with a handwritten note showing the seller's username and the date.
  • Check part numbers against the parts catalogue for your car before you pay.
  • Collect in person when possible, and test the item if you can.
  • Pay with a protected method and keep all receipts and messages.

For cars, never pay a deposit before you have seen the car, checked the documents and confirmed that the seller is the registered owner.

Safe selling

  • Describe the item honestly, including any faults.
  • Use your own photos and keep the listing up to date.
  • Do not share personal details publicly. Exchange contact information only in private messages when you are ready to complete the sale.
  • Be careful with overpayment offers, where a buyer sends more money than agreed and asks you to return the difference. This is a classic scam.
  • Meet in a public place for local sales, and bring a friend for high-value items.

Report problems

Use the report button on listings or messages that look suspicious. The team checks reported listings, and suspicious listings can be hidden. Reporting protects other members, even if you did not lose any money.

Trust is built over time

Members with a long history, complete profiles and positive activity in the forum are generally more trustworthy than brand-new accounts. Still, the safety rules apply to everyone. A careful buyer and a transparent seller make every deal better.
