Bimmer Garage is a community for people who love BMW M cars. To keep it friendly, useful and safe, every member agrees to a few simple rules. They apply to topics, replies, comments, private messages and the marketplace.

Be respectful

  • Treat others the way you want to be treated. Disagree with ideas, not with people.
  • No insults, harassment or discrimination of any kind.
  • Help beginners patiently. Everyone started somewhere.

Healthy discussions about cars are welcome, even when opinions differ. Personal attacks are not.

Keep it safe

  • No links in the community. This protects members from spam, phishing and fake shops. Describe articles and products in words, and use photos where useful.
  • No personal data in public posts. Do not publish phone numbers, email addresses or home addresses, yours or anyone else's. Use private messages.
  • Never ask for passwords or payment details. The team will never ask you for your password.
  • Report scams. If someone asks you to pay outside secure methods or to send codes or gift cards, report it immediately.
  • No content that encourages dangerous driving on public roads. Share track days, closed-road events and responsible driving instead.
  • No illegal modifications, such as tampering with emissions systems, safety systems or mileage.
  • No stolen parts or cars, and nothing that helps someone break into a car.
  • Respect copyright. Share your own photos and texts, or content you have permission to use.

Keep it useful

  • Post in the right forum and use clear titles.
  • Search before posting. Your question may already have an answer.
  • Mark the best answer when your problem in Help & problems is solved.
  • No spam or advertising outside the marketplace rules.

How moderation works

Members can report posts that break the rules. Posts with several reports are hidden automatically until the team checks them. The team can edit, hide or remove content and, when needed, suspend accounts. Serious or repeated breaches lead to a permanent ban.

If you think a decision was wrong, contact the team through the contact page instead of discussing it publicly.

Thank you

Most members never need these rules, because they already behave this way. Thank you for helping make Bimmer Garage a great place for BMW enthusiasts.
