Photos & builds is the place to show your BMW, share your progress and enjoy other members' cars. To keep this forum enjoyable and safe for everyone, please follow a few simple guidelines when you post pictures.

Share your own photos

Upload photos that you took yourself, or photos you have permission to share. Pictures copied from other websites, social media accounts or professional photographers belong to their owners, and sharing them without permission is not allowed. If you spotted a special car at an event, your own photo of it is perfect.

Use the photo button

Add photos with the photo button in the editor. Links to external image hosts are not allowed in the community. Uploaded photos load quickly, stay available and are checked for size automatically.

Think about privacy

Before posting, look at your pictures with fresh eyes:

  • Number plates: many owners prefer to cover or blur them. It is your choice.
  • Your home: avoid showing your house number, street name or anything that reveals your address.
  • Other people: do not post recognisable photos of other people without their permission, especially children.
  • Documents: never show registration papers, invoices with personal data or your full VIN.

Keep it relevant and respectful

This forum is about BMW cars. Photos should show cars, parts, projects or events. Content that is offensive, adult in nature or unrelated to cars will be removed.

Be kind in your comments. Every car is someone's pride, whether it is a concours-quality classic or a daily driver with a few scratches. Constructive feedback is welcome; mocking other members' cars is not.

We love action shots, but please share them responsibly. Photos and videos from track days and closed roads are great. Content that shows dangerous driving on public roads will be removed, because it puts other people at risk and does not belong in this community.

Describe your photos

A few words make every photo more interesting. Tell us the model, the colour, the story of the car or what you changed. If you show a modification, mention the parts used and how it went. This turns a nice picture into useful information for other owners.

Build threads

If you are working on a long-term project, start a build thread and keep adding updates in the same topic. Our topic about starting a build thread explains what to include.

Thank you for sharing your cars and helping make this one of the best places to enjoy BMW M cars.
